Glamping Lake District

Beckses Caravan Park is a small family run park offering glamping in camping pods inside the Lake District National Park near Ullswater and Keswick. The site is well maintained and offers views of Blencathra and Mellfell. Beckses is ideally situated as a base in order to visit the many attractions in the Lake District, or as a stop over when travelling to and from Scotland.

Opened in the early sixties by founder John Teasdale, the site remains in the same family with the hope of retaining a small site feel and a warm Cumbrian welcome.

CAMPING PODS – Sleeps up to 4 people
The new Camping Pods are ideal for couples but also large enough to accommodate a family.

The Pods include

• Seats and a table
• Plenty of storage space underneath the seats
• The seats fold down into a double bed
• Two single beds (1 x 6ft and 1 x 5ft)
• Kettle
• Microwave
• Heater
• Electric and lighting
• Full insulation

OUTSIDE the Pod

• Decked Area with solar lighting
• Raised BBQ area
• Picnic table

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEDDING AND TOWELS

ON SITE FACILITIES
Communal Areas include

• Shared Ladies and Gents Showers
• Shared Toilets
• Washing Up Area
• Laundry room containing a washing machine and dryer and double sink / drainer for pot washing
• Children’s Play Area with swings, wendy house and pirate ship (Please note that children should be supervised at all times)

LOCAL AREA
There is a public bus route within 200m of the site, which runs to west cumbria via Keswick throughout the summer. Below are just a few ideas of the many local attractions in the vicinity including
