Guests in both pods have access to a communal bathroom and kitchen area with a kettle, microwave, fridge and all essential cooking utensils and pots. There is also an outdoor communal gazebo area available as well as a private verandah.

LOCAL AREA
Adjacent to the mere of Colemere and set on the lake’s south side, adults-only Colemere Caravan Park is in a countryside setting on five acres of wildlife-laden land with peaceful walks all around – and a quarter of a mile from Wood Lane nature reserve have several deep fishing pools well-stocked with catfish and big carp; and bird watching
There’s stacks to do in the surrounding area, whether you want to stick close to home by foot or pedal, or drive a bit further afield to the towns, tourist attractions and landscapes of Shropshire, Cheshire and north-east Wales – the city of Chester is 40 minutes away and Llangollen on the River Dee reachable within 30 minutes. On the doorstep, tackle the two mile walk along the canal towpath to Ellesmere on foot or cycle, via the purpose-built circular walk and through a wooded area of rhododendrons around the mere and nature reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest with species galore to see like otters, lapwings and water birds. Hawkstone gardens and follies are a 20 minute drive away. The follies is an historic woodland fantasy with cliffs, crags, caves, deep woods and a series of extraordinary monuments and a must to visit! Iron bridge offers the historic Victorian Town “Bliss Hill “and museum 40 minutes drive away.
Ellesmere offers throughout the year, food festivals, regattas and boat rides on the mere, or drive to Rednal for Go- karting, Paintballing and Laser for an exciting time ten minutes away.
National Trust offers historic Castles including Chirk, Powys and Whittington and is a doddle to drive to too. If being on the water is your thing, a narrow boat marina is a three-minute drive away from the caravan park and both Colemere and White mere sailing clubs are within easy reach.
The lovely town Bala Lake is nearby for white water – Rafting and water sports….a milder form of the sport, along with abseiling, gorge walking, a steam railway and horse-drawn boat trips is available over the border in Wales at Llangollen.
