The best in glamping, our tents at Derwentwater Ready Camp in The Lake District offer a wonderful balance between contemporary and outdoor living. Glamping in The Lakes takes the strain out of camping with furnished tents, proper beds, dining area and more. Glamping in the Lake District doesn’t get much better than here at Derwentwater. It’s a beautiful location by the shore of Derwent Water and just moments away from the lovely market town of Keswick, an English national treasure with its variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, museums and cultural attractions. Our Derwent Water campsite is a brilliant place for watersports, not to mention cycling, walking and plenty of other outdoor adventures. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon by taking a relaxing boat cruise located on the lake shore.
With Ready Camp, there’s no need to fill the car with camping paraphernalia and ‘just in cases’. We provide a ready-prepped safari-style tent that’s packed to the rafters with creature comforts. We’re talking real beds and bedrooms, a dining area, mini kitchen, a comfy sofa… even a corkscrew!

Walking is a popular pastime in this amazing part of the world with plenty of walks in and around the campsite. Try the trail leading from Keswick up to Mount Skiddaw where the summit dominates the northern lakes skyline. Stock up on goodies from Keswick packing a picnic and take the trail towards the peak where efforts to make the summit are rewarded with some spectacular views.
Hope Park is another nearby scenic picnic spot. The glorious estate has panoramic views of the surrounding mountains of The Lake District as well as its own 9 hole golf course, pitch and putt, putting green, a boules pit and crazy golf course. On a windy day, Crow Park is a great spot to fly a kite with it’s a large open field just opposite the Theatre By The Lake in Keswick and lovely views of the lake and fells.
