Inver Coille is a family run campsite with glamping based in the Highlands of Scotland, alongside and near to the famous Loch Ness. There is a range of accommodation from glamping in geodomes and a bell tent, to camping pitches. The site is enclosed in its own surrounding woodland with stunning mountain panoramas, from the back of the campsite is access to the Great Glen way forestry trail, here there are two viewpoints which both offer fine and worthwhile vistas over the Loch and mountains. A few miles away is Invermoriston and Fort Augustus where you can find local shops, post office, pubs and fish & chip take away’s. Near to us you will find the historic Urquhart Castle and Caledonia Canal and Locks perfect for a bit of boat watching. There are also many operators running various cruises on Loch Ness for a bit of Nessie hunting.
Our location offers an intimate atmosphere as you nestle in amongst the trees and mountains making it a perfect family, walkers or cyclist’s idyll, whether you decide to glamp or camp. We are also dog friendly and welcome any four legged friends.
GEODOMES ?
New this year our year round GeoDomes offer warm, comfortable and fun glamping adventures. This year we will have two domes available for the coming season. Both our Domes are fully insulated and additionally heated by a log burner. The domes themselves can sleep 4.
Inside the domes you will find
A welcome pack of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a selection of biscuits is provided alongside a free starter basket of wood for the fire, after which wood can be brought on site.
SHOWER ROOM
The site also offers a private individual luxury shower room for each dome in spacious, clean and warm settings which is included in the cost. These are situated a short stroll from the Domes themselves consisting of a large luxury shower cubicle, toilet and wash hand basin. Hair dryers are also provided.
BELL TENT
The Bell Tent comes complete with its own outdoor seating area for two, under the parachute canopy you will find an outdoor gas stove combining, two gas rings and a grill, with table and chairs provided. Inside the tent itself, you will find a double bed with all bedding provided (with additional blanket and hot water bottles for your comfort). A cupboard contains a cutlery & crockery set for two and all kitchen and cooking utensils. You will, however, have to bring your own towels and torches for light. A Welcome pack is there to greet you on your arrival and contains a selection of Tea, Coffee, and Hot Chocolate and a selection of biscuits.
The bell tent sleeps two adults comfortably.
THE TIMBER TENT
The Timber Tent is fully insulated and comfortably sleeps two adults in a double bed with all bedding provided, including extra blankets and hot water bottles. There are solar powered lights as well as crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment for your use and a heater. There is a covered balcony area which has a camping gas stove to cook on and a table and chairs for you sit and enjoy a meal or admire the view over the Loch.
All bookings receive a free welcome pack of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and a selection of biscuits.
THE POD
The Pod includes either a double bed or two single separate beds, as required. We provide all bedding, blankets and should you need them hot water bottles too.
With an indoor kitchenette with a two gas ring stove (gas included), all crockery, cutlery, pots and pans provided, along with a water carrier and a heater. The pod has two solar powered lights inside and so makes for a perfect self catering break away. Also provided for you there is a table for two people and this fits neatly inside the pod or outside for some alfresco dinning on your very own balcony with fantastic panoramic mountain views.
Inside there is an information booklet about the Pod and the site. As well as a local tourism guide book on the area. A welcome arrival pack is there to greet you on your arrival which contains a selection of Tea, Coffee, and Hot Chocolate and a selection of biscuits.
Please bring your own towels and we also suggest torches for additional light.
FACILITIES?
Our site is complete with the ‘Highlands smallest shop’ stocking many and varied essential items, there is a communal campfire area with outdoor seating and picnic benches. There is a private shower block with luxury, clean shower rooms and toilets. Drinking water is provided and filtered from our own burn on site!! There is a covered washing up area consisting of two sinks. The reception area has information on a variety of local attractions and things to do, and provides electrical charging for your mobiles, tablets, or cameras in return for a donation to our charity tins.

PETS?
Dogs are welcome and incur an additional small fee, we have three ourselves so there are plenty of furry friendships to be made. There is woodland to the back of the campsite which leads to the Great Glen Way forestry track for secure and enjoyable dog walking and gorgeous panoramas, as well as the many walks within the nearby vicinity.
