Glamping Scotland with Hot Tub

Loch Tay Highland Lodges with Glamping are situated in the central highlands on the shores of Loch Tay in Scotland. We are based within Perthshire, in one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland surrounded by mountains, lochs and rivers yet still within easy driving distance of Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow. With the scenic village of Killin and the picturesque Falls of Dochart just a short drive away. Glamping includes Glamping Pods and Domes as well as our Self Catering Woodland Cabins. On site we have The Bistro on Loch Tay and Bar, a wide range of activities including fishing and boat hire.

Here at Loch Tay Highland Lodges, we love glamping! When you want to get away from the city and enjoy a relaxing holiday in nature but you don’t want to forgo the luxuries of home that’s where glamorous camping, or glamping, comes in. We offer a range of glamping accommodation. Each includes extra amenities and facilities including our new camper’s kitchen and sitting room, a shower block and laundry area, to ensure you have everything you need for a wonderful stay.

OUR GLAMPING PODS
Our glamping pod accommodation in Scotland offers a comfortable and quirky option for families and couples alike. Each glamping pod is located in a quiet, secluded woodland area of the park with wonderful views of the Loch or Ben Lawers. A cosier alternative to camping, the all wood glamping pods come complete with some welcome home comforts including a TV, fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave (please remember to bring your own crockery or cutlery and bedding as this is not supplied).

Wonderfully cosy and tastefully appointed, our premium glamping pods also offer a fantastic choice for your glamping experience – you’ll find it hard to tear yourself away! When you do venture outside, however, there are marvellous views to appreciate around Loch Tay. Quirky and unique, they provide the ultimate in glamping holidays and are ideal for a short getaway or midweek break.

Four of our premium holiday pods have just got even better with the addition of a wood fired hot tub! Our premium glamping pods are beautifully located with their own fire pits, picnic tables and far reaching mountain views. Sleeping up to 4, the comfortable, contemporary pods include

Double bed plus corner settee (which converts to a double bed)
TV and dining table and chairs
Compact kitchen area contains a microwave, hob, fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery.
The integrated shower room has a walk in shower, WC and wash hand basin
Wood fired hot tub
Outside fire pit and picnic bench

Note: Our hot tubs do not use any chemical at all and are filled before each booking with fresh water from our highland spring. The hot tubs can take up to 3 hours to heat depending on the time of year so we do recommend that you get the stove fired up as soon as you arrive. The fires will have to be tended to roughly every half hour.

GLAMPING PODS

Comfortable mattresses offer space to sleep up to 5. There is a shower block and a camper’s kitchen adjacent to the glamping pods. Private bathrooms are available to rent at ￡10 per night. Electricity is provided. Once you’ve prized yourself away from your snug pod, you might want to spend your time taking in the scenery or sailing across the Loch. Whatever you decide on, there are a range of activities available to keep everyone, including your friends and family, amused during your stay.

THE DOMES

Our quirky, geodesic designed Glamping Domes are located in their own scenic ‘dome village’, the glamping domes boast breathtaking views of both Ben Lawers mountain range and the spectacular Loch Tay below. They offer fun, alternative and cosy holiday ideas in a wonderful lochside location. Eighteen square metres in size, the spacious and high quality interior of the glamping domes includes

One large double bed
Two camping mattresses (available on request)
Cosy wood burning stove
Funky bean bags
Candles
1 x USB charging point
Outside fire pit and picnic bench

Outside the glamping domes are fire-pits and picnic benches which can be used to enjoy the stunning scenery.

No electricity is available inside the domes other than 2 hardwired lamps and 1 USB charging point. However our beautifully converted stable block has a shared campers kitchen accessible to all guests, plus we also have a brand new amenities lodge for showers and WC’s.

STABLES BOTHY with Hot Tub

Our Stables Bothy is a great addition to the glamping village at Loch Tay Highland Lodges. This stables conversion offers exceptionally well appointed, open plan, contemporary, high quality “bunkhouse” style accommodation for the larger family or group of friends. Sleeping up to 8 adults, The Bothy provides a fantastic base for hill walking/cycling/climbing groups with the Ben Lawers range and the beautiful Glen Lyon on the doorstep.

Beautifully designed, warm and inviting, the Bothy features a large living/dining area with wooden floors, leather sofas, log burning stove, flat screen wall mounted TV, top of the range sound system and even a pool table and dart board. Comfortable, chunky wooden good quality bunk beds in the one bedroom to sleep up to 8 with under bed storage.

Modern shower room with WC, shower, wash basin and a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Guests will have access to the main shower block in the Facilities Lodge as well. Full kitchen inventory is also provided to allow full self catering options during your stay. Outside there is a fire pit and picnic bench to enjoy ‘Al Fresco’ dining.

LOCHVIEW HIDEOUT
Brand new to site this year, our hideouts are beautifully located with spectacular views of Loch Tay and Ben Lawers. Each hideout offers a private fire pit and an outdoor eating area from which to take in the stunnimg highland scenery.

Each hideout is furnished with a double bed, pull out corner sofa bed, dining space and compact kitchen with cooking facilities. Home essentials including a TV, microwave, kettle, fridge and toaster are all provided for a comfortable stay.

THE BOATHOUSE
The Boathouse on Loch Tay offers a fabulous stunning waterside venue. Situated beside the marina, it’s huge picture windows and sun deck allow uninterrupted views over Loch Tay. The Boathouse is fully licensed. For full details on the opening hours please visit

The Boathouse is airy, contemporary and open plan, combining relaxed seating areas on large settees. Dining al fresco on the extensive sun decks is delightful.

MARINA AND HARBOUR
Loch Tay Highland Lodges Leisure Park Marina is the ideal base for a water sports holiday. The marina commands one of the best stretches of water on the loch. There are strong winds with clear runs from both east and west. There are numerous water sports available at Loch Tay Highland Lodges Leisure Park, including boat hire and fishing trips, all organised and operated by highly experienced staff. Every instructor is fully qualified with a wealth of practical experience. Activities are available for all ages and abilities.
