Moss Howe Farm is nestled among the quiet hills of Witherslack at the foot of the beautiful Winster Valley. The glamping site is in an idyllic, secluded location a stone’s throw from a dip in Windermere at Newby Bridge and a short walk from the fabulous Derby Arms.
The glamping site offers the perfect base for an array of activities and excursions. Whether it’s swimming at Fell Foot Park, paddle boarding on Windermere, following the sculpture trail at Grizedale, a walk up the glorious Whitbarrow Scar or just sitting back at the site relaxing, it’s the perfect location for your next holiday.
All our Yurts at Moss Howe have private use of the large 6 person Scandinavian wood fire hot tub with your stay. Watching the steam gently swirling and rising up into the night air, there’s no better way to spend an evening! Great for that extra family treat on a romantic break.
THE YURTS
Our back to nature living yurts have a distinctly Moroccan feel with woollen rugs, bright colourful throws, twinkling fairy lights, solar lighting and large skylight. Our yurts are made from a thick water tight poly cotton canvas and high enough so you don’t have to bend down when walking around and set on a raised wooden tongue and groove floor. They are comfortable and cosy and definitely different, guaranteed to make you feel completely relaxed and away from it all.
Sit back, take a deep breath and relax. Feel the warmth of the wood burning stove, look up and let your eye be drawn up the roof poles, past the Moroccan lantern and through the large skylight where you will see the stars twinkling in the night sky…
