Award winning Park Cliffe in the Lake District offers glamping in pods set in 25 acres of beautiful, unspoilt countryside. Only 3 miles from Bowness-on-Windermere, Park Cliffe is easily accessible and yet offers a peaceful, tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Stay at Park Cliffe in one of our fabulous, eco-friendly and locally made camping pods. We also offer static caravans, lodges or a pitch for your own tourer, tent or caravan. You’ll find nothing less than a warm welcome from our friendly staff, peace, and comfort.

The Park is in a world of it’s own with absolutely stunning views over lake Windermere and the fells and mountains beyond. An abundance of wildlife such as squirrels, roe and red deer, foxes and birds surround us, in fact, such are our environmental credentials that TV botanist David Bellamy is an especially big fan of Park Cliffe. So much so, in fact, that he has presented us with his prestigious Gold Conservation Award for our work in protecting the natural environment!

CAMPING PODS
Snuggle down in one of our ten popular heated and sheep-wool insulated camping pods. It’s a brilliant way to stay in the great outdoors. There are 5 standard and 4 family pods situated on Ghyllside, this area is across a minor road from the main park. The pods are a massive hit with kids, it’s a ‘den’ thing and there’s no need to take down and dry wet tents.

STANDARD PODS – Sleep 2 adults and 1-2 small children
Each pod includes plenty of headroom and provides ample space for 2 adults and even 1-2 small children. The Pods have a carpeted floor and a double socket with a light and small heater. A small deck at the front provides a sitting area.

All you need to bring is your camping gear – minus the tent, a great experience for those who want a bit more comfort!

FAMILY PODS – 2 adults and 3 children or 4 adults
If you need more space for the family why not book one of our new larger family pods, they have plenty of headroom and provides ample space for 2 adults and 3 young children, alternatively could accommodate 4 adults. The Pods have an interior light as well as external lighting, a carpeted floor and a double socket with a small heater.

One family pod is tucked away in an idyllic location by the side of the beck on the main park adjacent to the main camping area. The rest are situated on Ghyllside, both with views of the lake and fells. (Family Pod 3 is accessed via steps)

PLEASE NOTE: No beds are fitted to Standard or Family Pods and campbeds or airbeds are recommended. Please bring your camping gear!

NEW Premier Pods – 2 adults and 3 children
Premier pods are the largest type of pods we have. They have a set of bunk beds (full size singles) and a double bed as well as a trundle bed so can accommodate up to 5 persons. Equipped with a hanging rail for your clothes, plenty of hooks, heater, interior light, carpeted floor, decking area for sitting outside and a couple of electric sockets inc USB charge points. Cooking is not permitted inside the pods. Sorry we are unable to accept pets or allow smoking in the pod
