Glamping Yorkshire with Hot Tub

Pinewood Park is the original Yorkshire glamping site, with tree cabins, shacks, tipis and more. We are an award winning, Visit England 4 star rated property, offering a fun and memorable Wild West themed holiday park, as well as being a unique wedding and events venue. Scarborough’s Pinewood Park was established more than nine years ago, making it Yorkshire’s first dedicated glamping site and one of the first in the UK.

Surrounded by trees and with miles of green fields to the rear, Pinewood feels as though it is in the middle of nowhere, but it is less than five minutes by car, or half an hour by foot, to Scarborough town centre. This leaves it ideally placed for Scarborough’s many attractions, as well as destinations such as Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay. With 7 acres, there’s plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves and relax, and the Park is separated into several areas including Woody’s Western Town, Camp Pinewood and the Camping and Touring Fields.
Family owned and managed, impeccable customer service is a priority, and while many customers return year after year, every customer, whether new or old, is guaranteed a big Yorkshire smile!

OUR GLAMPING ACCOMMODATION

NEW! – Introducing The Ranch Retreat!
As far we are aware; the largest Glamping accommodation available, and certainly the largest we have here at Pinewood. And while bigger is definitely not always bigger………this Glamping accommodation does have the Wow factor! This accommodation is currently set out with 3 areas; 2 small bedroom areas for children, and then a large bedroom/sitting area for the grown ups! This new larger Glamping accommodation has been hand-crafted, and design by our team at Pinewood, and has a very Industrial, Glam feel! With 2 single beds, a double bed, a fridge, kettle, and heating, and plenty of space, you’ll feel like you are no where you’ve ever stayed before. Bedding is also included.

Fairground “howdy’ lights are a fun addition.

The added bonus is the beautiful private Wood Fired Hot Tub.

This is a smaller Hot Tub, and designed for the children to enjoy, while the water is heating up (this should take about an hour) and then once the water gets too warm for the children, they can go to bed while the grown ups enjoy some quality time together.

This Hot Tub provides total relaxation, while the 1000 fairy lights create a perfect, romantic experience.

TIPIS – Sleeping 4 to 5
Camp Pinewood is a Wild West themed Tipi Campground, with modern, spacious Tipis, which have 1 central pole, and the added convenience of being fully enclosed and zip-able. All are raised off the ground on wooden decks, and have metered electric. The Tipis are fully carpeted, with beds for 4 people, a light and a heater (the electric is metered). Outside picnic benches are provided, and BBQs are permitted, if raised off the ground.

The modern tipis sleep up to 5 people – 2 adults and 3 children and prices & furnishings are based on a family of 4, and are a lovely cosy place to spend time as a couple or a family. Young and old (and all those in between!), will have an extraordinary experience.

You will need to bring sleeping bags or duvets and pillows, towel/toiletries, a torch, cooking stove, pots, pans, plates etc. and utensils if you plan to cook on site, and your sense of adventure! You’ll have a real fun time!

Tipis are perfect for so many people; families, friends, couples wanting a romantic break, walkers, bird spotters, surfers;…. the list goes on. Why not surprise a loved one as a birthday or anniversary treat! A fun, unique and environmentally friendly way to spend time away from the hustle and bustle and stresses of everyday life. Wake up to the birds singing, drift off to the sound of the owls, and just simply enjoy the mixture of old fashioned camping in a truly beautiful place, while being at home with nature. You’ll go home feeling re-charged and refreshed.

LUXURY GLAMPING LODGE WITH HOT TUB
Glamping is a great way of getting up close and personal with Mother Nature. Some people may have an aversion to confined spaces or the idea of setting foot in a tent now fills them with dread. Thankfully, there is now such a thing as glamping, or glamorous camping, to give it its full title. This enables those who aren’t ready to abandon creature comforts the chance to sleep in the great outdoors, but with the luxury of being indoors.

This spacious yet very cosy Lodge comes with a luxury King Size bed, with beautiful bedding included – so great for those wanting to travel a little lighter! There’s also bunk beds, with bedding also included, if you can’t escape the children! Metered electric is available, if required, with the added convenience of a heater, light, kettle, toaster, fridge & microwave.

The covered, private Hot Tub is perfect for relaxing after a long day on the beach, exploring the area, or once the children have gone to sleep! There’s 1000 fairy lights to light up the Hot Tub area.

COWBOY CAMPING SHACKS – Sleeping 4
The Cowboy Camping Shacks are in Woody’s Town, and are ideal for all year round camping. They have similar basic furnishings as the Tipis; beds for 4 people, a small barrel table, a small storage box and an electric heater, a table lamp and sockets (metered). They are double glazed and insulated and are very cosy. They also have a large covered veranda, with a rocking chair and table and stools; perfect for enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sun set. The Shacks sleep up to 4 people – 2 adults and 2 children and prices & furnishings are based on a family of 4. These Camping Shacks accommodate a maximum of 3 adults, with the 3rd adult paying an additional ￡10 per night. There is room to bring a travel cot. Families with younger children benefit from lockable doors and a slightly quieter position on site.

CAMPING CABINS – Sleeping 4 (maximum 5)
New to Woody’s Western Town are Camping Cabins. These are similar to the Camping Shacks, but slightly larger. They still have the same spacious open plan camping area with beds for 4 people, and the added convenience of a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle and sockets (metered electric). Like the Shacks, these are insulated and double glazed, with lockable doors, and are perfect for couples and families who like to camp in cooler seasons, or who would like to give camping in comfort a try, before purchasing a tent.

The price and furniture for these cosy Camping Cabins is based on 2 adults, with 2 children staying for free, but these can accommodate up to 3 adults, or a family of 5, for an additional cost.

You will need to bring sleeping bags or duvets and pillows, towel/toiletries, a torch, cooking stove, pots, pans, plates etc. and utensils if you plan to cook on site.

The Camping Cabins also have a covered veranda and a picnic bench situated on the grass outside the Cabin.

SHOWERS
Very clean and modern shower and toilet blocks are centrally located, and are always kept to a high standard

ELECTRICITY
Metered electric is available on all pitches/Tipis/Shacks/Wagon/Cabins and Lodge. This works on a pay as you go system, and you pay for what you use.

DOGS
Up to 2 dogs per pitch/Tipi/Shack are permitted, and are not charged for. While dogs are very welcome, as there are a number of people that are frightened of dogs, it is important to keep dogs on a short lead at all times while on site. For this same reason, the dog walk is situated next door to the site, rather than on the site. On arrival the dog walk will be pointed out, as will dog friendly pubs in the area.

THE AREA
Scarborough has 2 wonderful beaches, divided by the castle headland, with the stunning castle looking down onto them. There’s fun to be had by all on the south beach with its many amusement arcades, shops and of course the traditional fish and chips restaurants and the donkey rides. You can have a trip on a pirate ship or take to the waves in a speed boat. The north bay is the quieter beach, but you can still have fun making sand castles, take a ride on the miniature railway, and enjoy an ice-cream. If it’s raining there’s also the indoor swimming pool or the cinema, as well as bowling. Peasholm Park is a beautiful attraction; where you can feed the ducks, ride a peddle boat swan, have a round of pitch and putt, or watch the famous miniature war ships battle. The Sealife Centre is a great place to visit, and there’s plenty of shops and entertainment. Also in the area –

Pinewood Park can be used to celebrate almost any occasion. Engagements, Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Christenings, retirement, family reunions, school reunions, promotions…… Your friends, family and colleagues will have a truly memorable and fun time, and your party could well be the highlight of the year.

Guests at Pinewood are welcome to bring their own food and drink along, and organise their own entertainment, but staff are also happy to help organise catering and bands. This usually involves hiring the whole site and all the accommodation for exclusive use, if in the main season, but there may be an option to hire parts of the site and Woody’s Barn out of season.
