Enjoy a memory making countryside glamping experience from our luxurious shepherds huts in the heart of Scotland at Craigduckie. Our handcafted Shepherds Huts, Ewe View and Lamb Lookout each provide luxurious glamping accommodation for up to two adults and two children.

Escape the stress of everyday life, reconnect with the countryside and experience first hand what farming life is all about or simply relax, take time to unwind and enjoy the peaceful rural surroundings and its wildlife. Why not bring your wellies and roll your sleeves up to help with feeding and caring for our sheep, cows and chickens? All guests receive a complimentary farm tour with a chance to meet the animals and sit on the tractor.

Craigduckie is conveniently situated just outside Dunfermline in the heart of Scotland, just 20 miles from Edinburgh, 43 miles from Glasgow and 27 miles from Perth.

THE HUTS
Ewe View & Lamb Lookout enjoy south facing positions overlooking Loch Fitty and the rolling countryside surrounding them.

Both huts are the same internally although Ewe View comes with private use of our new Bath Hut. Two huge baths in a long open fronted hut enjoying lovely views over the Loch and beyond – the perfect place to wash away your worries!

On arriving at Criagduckie, park the car and fill the wheelbarrows with your luggage (and kids) and follow the short path to your hut (approx 20m). A welcome pack of all the essentials and a homemade treat awaits.

Ewe View and Lamb Lookout have everything you will need with a shower room, kitchen area with hob, oven and fridge, and a wood burning stove to warm your toes after a day of exploring. Each hut has a fold down double bed which converts to a dinning area and fold down bunk beds (children only) with fresh sumptuous bedding and fluffy towels provided. Outside you can use the firepits to have a barbecue and enjoy alfresco dining whilst gazing at the stars and toasting marshmallows on the glowing charcoals.

LOCAL AREA
Take full advantage of our lochside position, have a digital detox, sit back and admire the birds and wildlife with a pair of binoculars to hand. Take a walk off the beaten track down to the lochside and enjoy the peace or admire the views over the Pentland Hills from the top of the farm.

Experience our ‘farming way of life’, don your wellies and we will give you a tour of the farm and try to answer all of your questions.

Our friends at Craigluscar Activities offer a range of outdoor experiences including tractor driving, mini Highland Games, hovercrafting and clay pigeon shooting and are only a 10 minute drive.

Balmule Fishery is only a 5 minute drive and is a trout fishery with a separate kids fun pool.

Townhill Loch is the home of Waterboard and Waterski Scotland. There is a lovely walk around the loch and The Loch Cafe offers a welcome refreshment with a lovely view.

The Ceramic Cafe in Dunfermline has a small soft play area and a range of ceramics for all ages to paint – great to take home as gifts.

Deep Sea World at South Queensferry is all under cover and a great trip beneath the sea to meet all creatures great and small.

The Kelpies, Falkirk (40 minutes drive) We love the park here and The Kelpies themselves are quite spectacular. Don’t forget towels and a change for the kids as there is a splash play area!

Blair Drummond Safari Park, Stirling (45 minutes drive) An awesome family day out – something for everyone!

Briarlands Farm (45 minutes drive) Jumping pillow, football golf, cable ride, go karts, tractors and an adventure play area with a great cafe to top off the day! You are sure to leave with exhausted children.

Edinburgh (45 minute drive) (also regular buses and trains from close by) Loads of museums, shops, pubs, restaurants, an amazing atmosphere and not to forget – a castle!

The Wallace Monument, Scotland (40 minutes drive) great place to visit on a clear day with amazing panoramic views.

Stirling Castle (45 minutes drive) a great day out for the whole family with breathtaking views.
