Go Glamping on The Welsh Borders here in Wales. At Wye Glamping the emphasis is on relaxing and enjoying the simplicity of being close to nature in comfort and style. Take a stroll through the Welsh hills, splash in the onsite babbling brook, or read a book whilst taking in the stunning surroundings. Perfect for a family break, a romantic getaway, or a relaxing time with friends. Just turn up, pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy.
Set on an arable farm, we are a small family run site consisting of just 5 self-contained pitches, each with their own kitchen, shower and loo. Well-spaced to aid social distancing, you’ll also find a private sundeck, picnic bench, deck chairs and firepit/BBQ.
YURT CABIN Sleeps 4 (plus a little one on a campbed or travel cot)
Designed and built especially for us by a local craftsman, our yurt inspired cabins take Glamping to a whole new level. The timber framed roof fills the space with character whilst the quality wood burner, insulation stuffed walls and solar power makes for a very comfortable stay whatever the weather. We have two yurt cabins, ‘Bramble’ is tucked into the hedge row with beautiful views of the mountains, ‘Holly’ is slightly smaller and is set amongst a few trees and overlooks the stream (the most private of our pitches).
Inside the Cabin you’ll find:
CANVAS YURTS Sleep 5 (plus a travel cot)
Our beautiful, UK built yurts, of which there are three, are located near the bottom of the field and enjoy stunning views of the mountains. They are set far enough apart so as not to disturb each other, but close enough for groups who wish to holiday together. These all have easy access to the stream, so are perfect for small children who might like to splash about. The huge skylight offers the unique experience of stargazing from your bed, perfect as Brecon Beacons are within a dark skies reserve.

THE AREA
Wye Glamping is situated in the most idyllic spot, enjoying stunning views of the mountains. Many of our guests spend most of their time, simply enjoying the peace and quiet. The children will spend hours building dams in the stream and fairy gardens in the trees. However, we are also very well located for local activities when required. We have easy access to pony trekking, canoeing on the River Wye, walking, caving, climbing, wild swimming, you name it, it’s not far away. We are also located in a Dark Skies Reserve, which means on a clear night the stargazing is amazing!
We are situated on the edge of Velindre, a small village containing a traditional village pub, and a couple of small play parks. The closest shop is about a mile away in the village of Talgarth. where you’ll find a small but well stocked Co-op, a butchers and a bakers. For more substantial food shopping we’d recommend a visit to Hay on Wye, where you’ll find a range of shops and a substantial Coop.
Places to visit also include:
PRICES from
£325 to £425 per Yurt for a 3 night weekend or 4 day midweek stay
Well behaved dogs accepted at additional charge
