Glamping Cumbria and The Lake District with Hot Tub

Castle Guard Farm’s glamping pods on the north western edge of the Lake District are set in their own secluded private valley. The small number of well spaced pods are located on an open valley side near ash trees on a working farm. There are excellent access routes for cars and cycles into the heart of the Lakes and the coast.

The bespoke large Mega bunker pods have optional wood fired family friendly hot tubs from Finland and are positioned so you can relax in the tub whilst looking across the valley. The pods are tucked away in front of a stand of ash trees, look carefully and you might be able to see hares roaming!

Find Castle Guards Farm located at the start of the National Cycle Route 10, connecting Cockermouth to North Shields via the Kielder Forest and Carlisle. Why not use Castle Guards as the base for your Lake District walks, or start your cycle tour here! Contact us for cycle facilities. We welcome you to stay and enjoy the fresh air, hot tubs and fine restaurants and local whisky distillery. Then let yourself unwind and relax away your stress.

Couldn’t have faulted our stay here one bit. It was absolutely perfect and we had the most relaxing time here. Emma the host was lovely and always there if we needed anything. The hot tub is so relaxing and you get the perfect view of the sunset in the evening. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer, but we’ll definitely be back again!

Second time we've stayed here and it's been perfect everytime! Brilliant for a couple just wanting to get away for the night. The hot tub is amazing. There are four pods side by side however, your own pod feels extremely private. The kitchen has everything you could need, all cutlery, utensils etc. The surrounding scenery can only be described as idyllic and waking up to that view is just breath taking. Emma the host is only a text away if you need anything, she is lovely. She even remembered us from last time and asked how our little boy was 😊. We can't wait to go back! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Beautiful place. We started for 2 nights and loved it. Emma is the host. So lovely and helpful. The place was clean and we'll presented. Plenty of things on the pods, for your needs. Bed was so comfortable. We took our dogs, place is dog friendly. Hot tub is gorgeous. Heated by logs and we were given plenty. View is amazing too. Lovely walks near by. Definitely recommend and definitely visit again.

This place was fantastic! We went for a girls weekend to celebrate my wedding with 6 of us in a pod it was really cozy and perfect for what we needed. Emma was a fantastic host. She decorated it really nicely for Easter, it had stunning views and scenery and the hot tub was a fantastic edition which she kindly heated for our arrival and warmed it when we came back after our activities. She even gave us a card and small gift for our celebration! Had such a fantastic time here, would definitely come back again and recommend to anyone!

We are a family of 5 and stayed for 3 nights in October half term. The pods are amazing, so cosy and clean with everything you could need and more. There was ample room for us and the Halloween decorations and special treats went down really well with the kids. We all loved the hot tub too. Emma greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming, explained how to use the hot tub and gave us some great tips on things to do in the area. We loved our stay here, can't recommend highly enough and will definitely be back!
