Stay in a 2-bedroom canvas-wrapped Safari Tent based at Bracelands campsite in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Each tent is complete with full beds, sofa and dining area adding a dash of homely comfort to your rustic adventure. Discover the Great Outdoors at Bracelands…the forest is like your own outdoor playground – all 42 square miles of it! The area is perfect for cycling, picnic hikes, pony trekking, and all manners of woodland adventures. After some time playing Robin Hood, why not head towards the River Wye to one of the watersports centres? There are plenty of outdoorsy experiences, e.g. canoe or kayak hire and in addition to that, try your hand at archery, go caving inside Symonds Yat Rock, or test your balance on a high and low ropes course.

Just a couple of miles from Bracelands is Yat Rock, a well-known viewpoint over the Wye Valley. It’s a great starting point for several trails through the forest. Also nearby is The Doward, a range of wooded hills criss-crossed with trails and ancient landmarks, including the mysterious King Arthur’s Cave. Not far from this site, just over the Welsh border, is lovely town of Monmouth. With the crumbling ruins of Monmouth Castle and a walk over the gated Monnow Bridge, it can be a wonderful day out.
