    Swallowtails ticks all the boxes for the perfect camping holiday and the stunning North Yorkshire surroundings.

    Swallowtails is not just a base, but a place to spend quality time as well if you want to stay put and relax. At Swallowtails, we offer yoga and mindfulness, massage, aromatherapy and outdoor activities for all ages designed to allow them you to connect with nature!

    We offer stylish, cosy, hassle free boutique glamping in the form of spacious insulated luxury yurts and 'Lotus Belle' tents. We offer yurts/bell tents that accommodate 4- 7 guests comfortably.

    ‘Why not come to a spot hidden in the countryside where you can dream under dark North York Moors skies, spotting shooting stars and knowing that a wood burning stove is warming your yurt for your return. Wake up refreshed within your quilted bubble and listen to the sound of the woodland as it comes alive.

      I write this as I sit here by the fire, watching the sunset over beautiful North Yorkshire and it is the perfect way to cap off our stay. Even the weather couldn’t spoil this one. From the minute we arrived, Mark & Freya have been nothing but friendly & accommodating. The Belle Tent was beautifully presented and it’s been a little family haven over the last 3 days. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be back!

      'Fantastic hosts! Great communication from the initial booking through to meeting us on arrival. Freya did a great walk through of their fantastic facilities and then left us to our own devices. Mark was also there to answer any queries and even let us use the hot tub earlier than scheduled as it had reached its temperature. Will be returning in the near future! Had a lovely meal at the Black Swan which was only a 20min walk and was dog friendly! Enjoy the on site facilities and chill or go to the Yorkshire Water Park if you like fun packed activities!'

      Had such a lovely stay here! Felt very well attended to with plenty of amenities and incredibly comfortable yurts. Also a very short walk into Pickering where there was a Lidl and some lovely little pubs. All in all, would highly recommend.

      Fabulous time here. Freya and Mark were super attentive hosts and talked us through everything really clearly. All 5 of us enjoyed our stay so much and look forward to coming back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

      This is the second time we have been to Swallowtails and it will not be the last! Our bell tent 'Lapwing' had even more luxurious touches. Electric blankets on the comfy beds, not that we needed them as they sell Bark Blocks for 50p which burn all night in the wood burning stoves. Again there was everything we needed in the tent and it was beautifully decorated with interesting pieces of furniture. Our tent and the communal areas; kitchen, shower and toilet were pristine. The communal fire is a great way to get to know the other guests and share experiences. There is lots to do in the area. Pickering is a short walk with cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. There is also two big supermarkets for supplies. A bit further a field there are the Yorkshire Moors and the seaside at Whitby. I would also recommend a day trip...
