The Winchcombe site offers an ideal base if you fancy glamping near Cheltenham or Tewkesbury. Visit the quaint village of Alderton with it’s rich heritage and handful of amenities including a pub, Post Office, shop and petrol station. And what’s more, it’s just an easy walk away.

Winchcombe itself is a graceful town a little under 4 miles away. It boasts a rich combination of tearooms, shops, characterful pubs and restaurants – all clad in beautiful honey-coloured Cotswold stone.

Like to explore? Then take the 42-mile Winchcombe Way walking trail. If you’ve got the children with you, why not take them to Sudeley Castle? It’s a great day out! The Castle is an easy 10-minute drive from Winchcombe Club Site and boasts its own Adventure Playground, a zip wire and a 10-piece assault course. There’s plenty there to wear them out! It’s rich in heritage too; many famous Royal names have passed through its gardens and Katherine Parr, Henry VIII’s sixth wife, is buried in the grounds.

Other must-see attractions include the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway at Toddington, Cotswold Farm Park, Cheltenham Racecourse, and the peaceful ruins of Hailes Abbey.
