Great facilities and a warm welcome. Loved our stay in the safari tent. 4 of us including 5yr old son and and 18 month old daughter. Plenty of space for our travel cot. Loads of extras we weren't expecting which made our stay easier. Safari tent includes: plenty of torches, tea lights and matches, full kitchen equipment, 4 x gas rings, blankets, log burner with logs, charcoal and firelighters, marshmallows, bedside tables and hanging storage, coatstand with hangers, very comfy beds. Living room area came in handy when the weather turned. Each glamping pitch has its own garden, ours had a bbq and fire pit. Large cool box in garden. Proper shower rooms/toilets, plus a couple of portaloos. All clean. Honesty shed is well stocked and very reasonably priced. Includes a fridge so you can buy fresh milk and cold soft drinks. Only two other bookings on our first night,...

Only two other bookings on our first night, and we were the only guests the next day. We were surprised at this being as it's the start of school holidays. Kids appreciated having the whole space for ball games. Enjoyed a lovely meal and warm welcome at the nearby Duckworth Arms. The site facilities and accommodation are really great, but we unfortunately probably won't return due to the location. The motorway noise is undeniable. Lovely view is interrupted by a huge factory. Nearby walks not that enticing - Edenfield Waterfall is nice but involves a walk by busy roads most of the way. It's possible to join up with public walkways near the camp site but they're not particualry idyllic - though my son was happy to be able to get close to a nearby recycling plant. We did enjoy a trek up to Peel Tower after driving into Ramsbottom.
